EAST DETROIT STORAGE FACILITY
Northwest Alabama Gas District owns 1.44 Bcf of natural gas storage in northern Lamar County. The storage facility is directly connected to the District's distribution system as well as the Tennessee 500 line. The District currently utilizes about 1/3 of its storage capacity for existing customers on its distribution system and has available for prospective industrial customers approximately 1 Bcf (Billion Cubic Feet) of storage capacity.
